He is one of the fifteen recipients of the 'Biodiversity Hotspot Hero' award by Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) in 2016 at the IUCN World Conservation Conference. He also received the Biodiversity award in 2015 from Auroville Foundation.

Nilitha serves as the admin and operational functions, ensuring seamless coordination across programs, teams, and stakeholders. She oversees organizational compliance, documentation, reporting systems, communications, and day-to-day administrative processes that support the effective implementation of conservation and community development initiatives. She plays a key role in coordinating with project teams, donors, corporate partners, and government stakeholders, while also supporting organizational planning, event management, and progress monitoring. Her attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple responsibilities help maintain operational efficiency and accountability across the organization. Through her dedication and commitment, Nilitha contributes significantly to strengthening Arulagam’s institutional systems and enhancing the impact of its programs.

Currently serving as Programme Manager at Arulagam, Coimbatore, with expertise in Programme Management, Business Development, Operations, Monitoring & Evaluation, and Partnership Building. Experienced in managing projects from design to implementation, strengthening institutional linkages, donor engagement, and stakeholder coordination. Skilled in capacity building for NGOs, FPOs, SHGs, and farmer communities, having trained over 500 FPO members across multiple districts. Proven track record in resource mobilization, government convergence, reporting, documentation, and operational management.

Kavitha oversees nursery operations, including plant production, staff supervision, seed collection, stock management, and maintenance activities. Her efforts contribute significantly to Arulagam’s ecological restoration and habitat conservation initiatives.

Saravanan is a seasoned finance professional with over 15 years of experience in accounting, financial management, compliance, and statutory reporting. He oversees Arulagam’s financial management systems, including budgeting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and resource planning. With a strong commitment to transparency, accountability, and financial integrity, he ensures the effective utilization of resources while supporting the organization's long-term sustainability and growth.

Lavanya manages the organization’s day-to-day accounting operations and financial record keeping. She is responsible for maintaining accurate accounts, processing payments, managing vouchers, reconciling transactions, and supporting project-wise financial tracking. Her diligence and attention to detail help ensure financial accuracy and compliance across organizational activities.

I’m Sundari R, a Zoology postgraduate with a strong passion for wildlife conservation. I have one year of field experience in vulture conservation with Arulagam and have worked closely with tribal communities through household surveys. I’ve completed training in Quality Planting Material Production (IFGTB), Vulture Survey Techniques, Vermicomposting, and Animal Welfare Acts. I love fieldwork, connecting with communities, and continuously learning about nature and conservation practices.

I am S. Revathi, an environmental and community development professional from Thalavadi, Erode. With a post-graduation in Economics and hands-on experience in vulture conservation, tribal outreach, and socio-economic surveys, I am committed to biodiversity protection and sustainable livelihoods. I’m especially passionate about promoting value-added NTFPs and traditional bamboo crafts for rural empowerment.

My name is Santhosh. I am studying SSLC. I am an artist and I work with Arulagam, an organisation that works for wildlife conservation. I love creating art and I teach drawing and painting to children. I enjoy learning new art skills and sharing my knowledge with others. John works closely with tribal communities and Van Dhan Vikas Kendra groups to strengthen sustainable livelihood opportunities. He supports value addition, product development, branding, and market linkages while facilitating community participation and enterprise development. His efforts contribute to improving incomes and enhancing the economic resilience of indigenous communities.

Natarajan Ponnusamy is a highly experienced development professional with expertise in conservation, sustainable livelihoods, and community development. He provides technical guidance and strategic support to project teams, helping design and implement impactful programs that benefit both people and nature.

Sobha Madhan leads project planning, implementation, and stakeholder coordination across Arulagam’s initiatives. She works closely with teams and partners to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, creating lasting impact for communities and conservation efforts.

Satheesh Maran manages field office operations and supports the smooth execution of project activities. He coordinates logistics, administration, and field teams, ensuring effective communication and operational efficiency across programs.

Mathan works closely with tribal communities and local stakeholders to facilitate field-level implementation of Arulagam’s programs. He supports community mobilization, documentation, beneficiary coordination, and government convergence activities. He plays a key role in assisting tribal families with obtaining essential documents and services, including Electricity Board (EB) connection proofs and other records required for accessing government schemes and entitlements. His strong community relationships and field experience help ensure the effective delivery of conservation and community development initiatives.

Shobana oversees Arulagam's financial management and accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency across all financial processes. She is responsible for project accounting, financial reporting, budgeting support, statutory compliance, fund utilization, and maintaining accurate financial records. Her expertise in financial administration and commitment to accountability help strengthen the organization's financial systems and ensure the effective management of projects.
